Former Chili Peppers’ guitarist, John Frusciante, dedicated the song “Smile From The Streets You Hold” to River Phoenix. Frusciante wrote the first part of the song about their friendship while Phoenix was still alive. After Phoenix’s death, Frusciante wrote the second part in his memory
